In last September I went to Pulau Pari, Kepulauan Seribu (the Thousands Island), Indonesia. The beautiful island is located in the northen of DKI Jakarta Province. I joined in a big group of Jakartans. We were 50 young Jakartans who love mangroves. We went to the island for enjoying holidays and studying mangroves.
We stayed in some homestay and found the kindnesses of local people. We did swimming, snorkeling, biking, and eating together. We also played some games and had a competition to clean up beach. Of course, we planted mangroves to prevent abrasion in Pantai Perawan Putih beach. It was so fun. I don’t mind if my skin was tanned. I just enjoyed the fresh air, blue sky, and clean water. Kepulaun seribu is the most beautiful place of Jakarta.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good camera for documentations. When I was planting mangroves and snorkeling, I didn’t take any picture because I was worried it would be fall into the sea.
